Works today
- Open Claude (web, desktop or phone) and go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it StreetSpread, paste
https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/ and leave everything else blank. Claude opens a StreetSpread page; paste your key there, once.
- Start a new chat and ask: What is this key allowed to do?
The first answer asks whether the StreetSpread card may display. Choose Always allow. The keyed address works here too, with no sign-in step.

Works today
- Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. Turn on Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode. On a company plan an admin may have to allow it.
- Create a connector: name StreetSpread, URL
https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/, authentication OAuth. Sign in with your key on the StreetSpread page.
- In a chat, switch the StreetSpread connector on from the tools menu and ask the same first question.
Prefer a GPT? Build a custom GPT with an Action imported from https://api.streetspread.com/openapi-v1.yaml, authentication API key in the X-API-Key header. Same data, no connector.

Works today
- Pro, Max or Enterprise. Account → Connectors → + Custom connector → Remote.
- Name StreetSpread, URL
https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/, authentication OAuth; sign in with your key. Or the keyed address with no authentication.

Works today
Gemini app: Settings & help → Connected apps → Add a custom app, and paste the keyed address. Gemini Enterprise: your admin registers the same address as a custom MCP server.
Gemini CLI, in ~/.gemini/settings.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "streetspread": { "httpUrl": "https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/YOUR-KEY/" } } }
Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code
Works today
Claude Code, one line:
claude mcp add --transport http streetspread "https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/YOUR-KEY/"
Cursor or Windsurf, in mcp.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "streetspread": { "url": "https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/YOUR-KEY/" } } }
VS Code, in .vscode/mcp.json:
{ "servers": { "streetspread": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/YOUR-KEY/" } } }
Any other client that takes a remote MCP server: transport Streamable HTTP, the keyed address, no headers.
Your own agent
Works today
Anthropic API, the MCP connector on a Messages request:
mcp_servers=[{"type": "url", "url": "https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/YOUR-KEY/", "name": "streetspread"}],
tools=[{"type": "mcp_toolset", "mcp_server_name": "streetspread"}] # beta header: mcp-client-2025-11-20
OpenAI Responses API:
tools=[{"type": "mcp", "server_label": "streetspread", "server_url": "https://api.streetspread.com/mcp/YOUR-KEY/", "require_approval": "never"}]
Or skip MCP: the REST API at https://api.streetspread.com/v1 with your key in X-API-Key. The spec is at /openapi-v1.yaml, and /llms.txt is written for your agent to read first.
